All Volunteer Centres deliver five core functions. These are:
- Brokerage, matching volunteers to opportunities;
- Good Practice Development, improving volunteer recruitment and support;
- Strategic Development of Volunteering, creating a supportive local environment for volunteering;
- Developing Volunteering Opportunities, increasing the quality and quantity of volunteer roles; and
- Voice of Volunteering, raising awareness about issues impacting volunteers and volunteering.
