We involve volunteers Overview
Volunteer Centre Sheffield is here to support you with involving volunteers. There can be real magic when volunteering is well managed, with everyone benefitting. We’re here to help you find volunteers, support you with good practice and link you in to the network of local support.
Sheffield Volunteer Standard
If you are involving volunteers, apply for the Sheffield Volunteer Standard, a locally developed quality mark recognising good practice in volunteer management.
Advertise your roles
Advertising your roles is a service we offer free of charge but we do have minimum quality standardsthat we expect from organisations. This is to ensure that volunteers will be safe, supported and benefit from volunteering. See our advertise roles page for more information. Roles are advertised on our website, in our monthly bulletin and at the drop-in sessions. Trustee roles can also be advertised here. See our Recruiting Trustees page.
Good practice Resources
We can support you with the development of good practice through direct face to face support and written guides e.g. DBS, Expenses, Insurance or our Nuts and Bolts guide to developing inclusive roles. Click here to view these resources.
Networking
The Volunteer Centre facilitates the development of good practice in volunteering through learning from the many organisations we work with. Our Volunteer Coordinators Forums are a great place to keep updated, network and get peer support. Click here for more details.
